Abu Makadi is the coastal reef located on the northern shores of Makadi Bay., well sheltered from the prevailing northerly.
Abu Makadi is a well sheltered dive site and providing comfortable moorings from which to dive.
Drop to the plateau that lies at 7 metres and follow the gentle slope away from 10 to 16 metres. The plateau is mainly an area of large coral outcrops amongst soft sand. Around 20 meters you’ll find a drop-off that goes to great depths, so be careful and keep an eye on your depth gauge.
Home of many of the traditional reef fish the site is good for seeing Scorpion Fish, Stonefish and Arabian Angel Fish. There is also a good chance to see Dolphins or a Turtle.
